A clothing exchange is run out of the EarlyON drop in centre (room 111).
We would be especially grateful for children's winter clothing, shoes or boots.
We give gently used books to students in our Early Reading Intervention program.
We also have two Little Free Libraries on the garden fence posts.
We are looking for math toys to lend to students who attend the Math Clinic.
Please contact us.

As we approach the winter holidays and end of the calendar year, we sometimes receive questions on how families, individuals or groups can donate to our school.
Some families may want to donate to the school for personal tax reasons, while others may have friends or family members who are interested in providing a donation in a student’s name in lieu of a gift. Some individuals have employers who may provide a matching donation for Giving Tuesday, which is December 2 this year.
Whatever the reason, if you or someone you know is interested in donating to the school, we appreciate the contribution and will make sure that the funds are used responsibly to support our students and school.
Of course, there is no obligation to donate. The school has a budget to provide the essentials for all our students. Council donations are used to fund enhanced programming and to provide extra opportunities for our students. Some examples of how Sprucecourt council has made use of previously donated funds include:
extra-curriculars like the chess club,
academic programs like Scientists in the Classroom,
cultural programs like Bollywood dance lessons,
improvements to our school nutrition program.
Some requests we have received for this year are to update our equipment inventory for recess, purchase more jerseys for our sports teams to ensure that each child has a jersey that fits well, and for further enhanced academic and cultural programming.
If you or someone you know are interested in donating to our school council, please use the link below.
Select "Sprucecourt Public School" from the drop down menu (it's near the bottom of the long alphabetical list).
Indicate the purpose of the donation in the “Message to the school board” field (e.g., School Council - Scientists in the School).
